Wouldn’t a two day work week be nice? That’s the schedule your sprinklers want. Did you know that by spreading out your watering days, you encourage your lawn’s roots to grow deeper and become more drought resistant? And two days is enough, for most of the summer months, especially when you are cycle and soaking. During really dry and hot weather add a third day to your watering schedule. One of the best ways to save water indoors is to replace old toilets and washing machines. The City offers rebates for the replacement of these items with new, more water-efficient models.
Toilet rebates are offered for the replacement of pre-1994 toilets for residential and commercial properties. Toilet rebates are $75 per WaterSense toilet and residential clothes washer rebates are $100 per qualifying washer.

Commercial and multi-family buildings constructed before 1994 are now eligible for toilet and urinal rebates. Rebates of $75 will be applied to the business or apartment building water accounts for each EPA WaterSense labeled fixture that replaces a high volume flush fixture. Read more…
